The LinEar Tour-Bot Video™ is a fully automated GPS activated tour-guide video and announcement system. It is easily mounted inside any vehicle, vessel or aircraft with its small form factor and 12-24 volt operation.
It plays high bitrate MPEG-2 video from a Compact Flash Card and its rugged vibration resistant design means it will operate continuously for many years.
The LinEar Tour-Bot Video™ is capable of providing single language commentaries in stereo format or dual language commentaries in a mono track format.
The LinEar Tour-Bot Video’s™ CD+ quality custom tour narrations are stored on the Compact Flash Card. The audio announcements are triggered by the custom SIRF Star III GPS antenna.
Your announcements play automatically as the LinEar Tour-Bot Video™ moves through predefined geographical GPS waypoints.
The LinEar Tour-Bot Video™ recognizes your direction of travel and it will play the pre-programmed videos and audio announcements accordingly. This permits you to travel the identical route in the opposite direction always activating the proper content.
The LinEar Tour-Bot Video’s™ commentaries and GPS coordinates can be quickly updated by simply modifying the GPS database and replacing the Compact Flash Card.
The LinEar Tour-Bot Video™ does not have any moving parts, taking advantage of state-of-the-art technology.
A custom GPS antenna uses satellites to continually update the tour vehicle's location once every second.
Activation distance parameters can be accurately set as close as 15 feet to any location.
When the LinEar Tour-Bot Video™ finds a match in its custom database for that Point of Interest/Location, it automatically plays the associated content.
The waypoint parameters can also be quickly modified or enlarged so that you do not have to be within the exact waypoint for the message to be activated.
The LinEar Tour-Bot Video™ does not need to follow a specific course, route, direction of travel, or follow a specific list or series of waypoints.
It will still activate your announcements even if it enters your preset GPS waypoints in any random order.
You can quickly update the LinEar Tour-Bot Video's™ announcements and GPS coordinates by replacing the Compact Flash Card.
