The LinEar™ Tour Controller is the Brain of the system and the LinEar™ Language Receivers are the multi-language Audio Players with the complete audio tours stored in each LinEar™ Language Receiver’s 2GB internal flash memory.
 
Instead of drivers providing a combined English and Spanish commentary, now the driver can provide a multi-language tour by simply entering or toggling to the desired tour commentary using the LinEar™ Tour Controller.
 
The LinEar™ Tour Controller sends coded wireless signals to all onboard LinEar™ Language Receivers.  All LinEar™ Language Receivers simultaneously play the identical FILE/Commentary in whatever language each LinEar™ Language Receiver is programmed with.  All LinEar™ Language Receivers will simultaneously play the selected file/commentary in English-Spanish-German-French, etc, depending on their preset language assignment.
 
All of the tour’s audio files are numbered and placed in a linear order, 1-2-3-4-5-6… This is the same order that the general/main tour follows making it easier for the driver to follow. Additionally, your tour can also be easily designed with multiple color coded tours and routes. The driver can play any file at any time and they can also use alternate routes and even travel any of the routes in reverse order.
 
Normally, the driver only needs to tap to the “NEXT FILE” button to activate the next commentary on the route.  The driver can also access any tour commentary at any time by simply entering the new file number into the keypad.  If the driver changes the standard route or if traffic is slow and backed up, the driver can play alternate tour files or “FILLERS”, by simply entering that file number into the keypad.  The driver can resume the tour by either toggling to the desired commentary or by entering the next regular file number into the keypad.  The LinEar™ Tour Guide System is extremely easy for the driver to control and it promotes safer driving because the driver no longer provides the tour commentaries.
 
NOTE: Audio from a LinEar™ Language Receiver can be connected via a 3.5mm cable directly to the overhead PA system's speakers to accommodate the language for the majority of that tour’s passengers.  This results in more convenient listening for the majority of your passengers, also requiring fewer LinEar™ Language Receivers.
 
LinEar™ Tour Controllers are supplied with a 3.5mm plug-in microphone allowing the driver to speak directly to all LinEar™ Language Receivers simultaneously whether a commentary is playing or not.  This exclusive “DRIVER INTERRUPT FEATURE” permits the driver to simultaneously broadcast welcome announcements, emergency information and any tour related commentaries to each LinEar™ Language Receiver, such as when traffic slows, or when something unique occurs.  The microphone also permits the driver to conduct “walking tours”, and to call the guests back to the bus when necessary.
 
LinEar™ Language Receivers store a maximum of 256 MP3 files (One Language), 128 MP3 files for (Two Languages) etc.  The number of languages that can be accommodated on each LinEar™ Language Receiver depends on the total number of audio files/commentaries on your tour.  As additional languages are added, fewer files in each language will be permitted to be stored on each LinEar™ Language Receiver.
